Magnussen 'hungry' to prove worth

Kevin Magnussen says he is hoping to prove “many points” next weekend in Australia when he makes his F1 race return. Magnussen was dropped by McLaren at the end of last season, having been demoted to test and reserve driver for 2015 after losing out in a head-to-head with then team-mate Jenson Button for the remaining seat alongside Fernando Alonso. However, he now gets a second chance after inking a deal with Renault last month and the Dane is 'hungry' to get back on the grid. “Hopefully I'll prove many points [on my return],” he said in the countdown to the F1 2016 season opener in Melbourne. “I'm extremely motivated after a whole year away.
