Whiting sure FIA can police radio messages

Red Bull/Getty Images Formula 1 Race Director Charlie Whiting is adamant that the FIA will be able to monitor radio messages, ahead of this year's clampdown in the sport. In a bid to place control back in the hands of the drivers, there is increased restriction on what messages are allowed to be provided from the pit wall. "We’re listening to it in real time," he said. "We’ve got four people in race control listening to three drivers each, and then we’ve got four or five software engineers listening to two or three each, so it’s relatively straightforward, for a start.
