New chassis for Gutierrez after collision
Haas F1 Team Haas team boss Guenther Steiner has confirmed that Esteban Gutierrez will use a new chassis in Bahrain, following his collision with Fernando Alonso in Australia. Gutierrez was struck by Alonso under braking for Turn 3 at Albert Park, in an incident which sent the McLaren driver rolling across the gravel trap, with the race red-flagged as a result. Steiner has now revealed that repairs will be undertaken to Gutierrez's original chassis, with a new one set aside for the Mexican at Sakhir. "Some of the parts, for example the chassis, were sent back to Europe to be checked and fixed because we can’t do it on site in Bahrain," said Steiner. "We have enough spare...
