Renault reserve Ocon to get free practice run in Spain
Esteban Ocon will take part in his first official Formula 1 practice session of the season with Renault in Barcelona in two weeks' time. The Frenchman, who also holds a DTM race drive with Mercedes, has confirmed he will pilot one of Renault's RS16 cars in FP1 in Spain. For the reigning GP3 champion, this will be his second practice outing of his Grand Prix career, having previously piloted a Lotus E22 in Abu Dhabi in 2014. In that session, he finished 16th, three tenths behind the team's regular driver Pastor Maldonado. It has yet to be confirmed whose car Ocon will be piloting in Spain.
