– Mercedes has written an open letter to its fans in a bid to silence conspiracy theories over the championship battle between drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.Mercedes has faced allegations of foul play across social media in recent weeks, with Rosberg opening up a 43-point lead amid a string of reliability issues for Hamilton.But team boss Toto Wolff described fans peddling these theories as "lunatics" in an interview with Sky Sports at the Russian Grand Prix, expressing anger at repeated "abuse".Mercedes has now taken another step with a letter to supporters."The success we have enjoyed in recent times has not come about by accident," read the...
