Rosberg surprised by gap to Ferrari

Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg admitted he was surprised by Mercedes' gap to Ferrari during qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, with their primary rivals only fifth and sixth on the grid. Rosberg finished second to team-mate Lewis Hamilton at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with lead Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen 1.1 seconds adrift of the Briton. Rosberg expressed surprise at Ferrari's deficit but nonetheless remains wary of Red Bull, which secured third and fourth courtesy of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.
