Monaco GP organisers modify Swimming Pool kerbs
Formula 1 chiefs have returned some of the challenge back to the exit of the Swimming Pool complex at Monaco, by tweaking the kerb profiling. Ahead of last year's race, the FIA changed the track layout there to pull the barrier further away from the racing line – and instead placing a raised yellow kerb to mark the edge of the circuit. It meant drivers had more room from error on entry, as they could run across the kerb without risk of hitting the barriers. The intention had been to keep the same design for this year but, following a meeting of F1 team managers on Wednesday evening, a change was agreed.
