Last second pit strategy – too late

Kimi Raikkonen fall’s victim to the virtual safety car……. The virtual safety car can be a blessing or a curse! For anyone who has crashed out on track it's a sigh of relief and a breath of fresh air as it means no should be slamming into your car at 180km, however for those racing it could be mean a sneaky pit stop without losing places or for those who pit too soon it means you can lose out on considerable amount of places. This is what happened to Kimi over the weekend, his team radioed him to pit, and he did just that, sadly just as the VSC was retracted and the race began again meaning he had to join the traffic as he left.
