Ferrari should focus on 2017 F1 and ‘internationalise' Ferrari might be wise to write off 2016 and focus all of its efforts on beating Mercedes next year. That is the view of one section of the Italian press, even though team president Sergio Marchionne said in Baku that the fight for the 2016 crown is still on. But Tuttosport, an Italian sports daily, urged Ferrari to consider that switching focus to the sweeping new technical rules for 2017 might make more sense. 'Mercedes is too strong this season,' it declared.
