Button to Williams and Vandoorne to McLaren in 2017? McLaren could choose Stoffel Vandoorne to step up into a full-time race cockpit for 2017 F1, as well as some strong source reported that F1 veteran Jenson Button will switch to Williams F1 in order to continue his long career. The Belgian, strongly backed by the McLaren F1 team, made an impressive debut in Bahrain Grand Prix, where Fernando Alonso sat out the race with chest injuries. Alonso is secured in a three-year deal through 2017, the Button’s contract is up at the end of the current season with the Vandoorne hopeful tipped as his likely replacement for next season.
