Ferrucci Earns Test Outing for Haas at Silverstone

Haas development driver Santino Ferrucci will have the opportunity to drive the VF-16 car at the Silverstone test next week. Signed by the team earlier in the year, the 18-year-old American driver will drive Formula One machinery for the first time. With regular drivers Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez ineligible to participate in the test owing to new young driver rules, the GP3 driver will be entrusted with a VF-16 for both days of the in-season test. “Becoming a Formula One driver is my ultimate goal and I can’t thank Haas F1 Team enough for this opportunity,” said Ferrucci. “Nothing beats seat time, and the experience of driving a Formula One car and working with Haas F1...
