Ocon gets Silverstone FP1 outing
Esteban Ocon is to replace Kevin Magnussen in the opening practice session at Silverstone this weekend. The 2014 European F3 champion and 2015 GP3 champion, currently having a torrid time in DTM where he drives for Mercedes, participated in FP1 at Barcelona for Renault, took to social media to announce the drive. 'Proud to announce I'm gonna be driving tomorrow during the FP1 of the #BritishGP,' he tweeted. Next week the Frenchman is back on F1 duty when he drives the Mercedes on both days of the post-GP test.
