Marcus Ericsson: “The most important is that I am alright”

Marcus Ericsson admitted he was sore after his final practice crash at Silverstone on Saturday morning, with the Swede apologising to his Sauber F1 Team mechanics for giving them a lot of work to do to get his car ready for Sunday’s British Grand Prix. Ericsson was taken to hospital as a precaution following his crash on the exit of Stowe Corner midway through the session, with the Swede admitting it was his own mistake in running wide on the corner’s exit that caused the crash that damaged all four corners of his car. Should the stewards at Silverstone allow him to race, Ericsson will start from the pit lane on Sunday with a brand new chassis. “It was obviously a huge accident,”...
