Ferrari too slow, says ninth-place Vettel

Sebastian Vettel said his Ferrari car was too slow for him to do any better after finishing ninth in Formula One's British Grand Prix on Sunday. After starting 11th in wet conditions, the four-time world champion was the first driver to switch to slick tyres, but Vettel spun and struggled as Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton enjoyed a record third successive home win. 'Overall it was not our day,' said the German. 'Just not quick enough. As simple as that.' Vettel's disappointing result saw him fall from third to fifth in the drivers' championship.
