Lewis Hamilton seemed simply unstoppable at Silverstone – achieving a hat trick of of victories at the Northamptonshire circuit, now four in total. Clearly motivated during the weekend by the British fan's support, his bold crowdsurfing move from the podium will be memorable for many years. Whilst the Mercedes duo were evenly-matched during practise, Hamilton stole pole from Rosberg by 0.3 seconds, although suffered from having his first Q3 time deleted for exceeding track limits.
