Reprimands for Sainz and Bottas following Pit Lane transgressions

Both Carlos Sainz Jr and Valtteri Bottas have been handed reprimands after both were found guilty of pit lane transgressions during second practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring on Friday. Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Sainz was handed his reprimand after being deemed to have ‘kept to the right side of the bollard at pit entry but then rejoined the track and crossing the line separating the pit entry from the track’. The Spaniard should have returned to the pit lane instead of continuing on track, and this marks the second time Sainz has been reprimanded in 2016, and should be receive another one during the season he will have to serve a ten place grid penalty.
