Mid-Season Report: Sauber
Mid-season report – Financial uncertainties on the circuit and squabbling team-mates on-circuit resulted in a Sauber team which was in a sorry state for much of the first half of the season. Evolution rather than revolution was the design philosophy applied to Sauber's C35, meaning that expectations weren't particularly high heading into the 2016 season, but delays meant their new car was only debuted at the second test. They were quickly established as tail-enders along with Manor and – to a lesser extent – Renault, but reports of their financial insecurities emerged early on in the season, with delayed payments to members of staff and team principal Monisha...
