Vandoorne: I can go elsewhere if not McLaren in 2017
Stoffel Vandoorne says that if he doesn't race for McLaren next year, he has opportunities to move elsewhere in the Formula 1 pitlane and wants a guarantee of a race seat for 2017 from the Woking outfit. The 24-year-old Belgian and reigning GP2 champion has been strongly backed by the British team, and made his grand prix debut for McLaren early in 2016 when Fernando Alonso was injured. But the Woking team is yet to declare its 2017 driver lineup, amid speculation McLaren will replace Jenson Button with its hotly-rated reserve driver Vandoorne.
