Jenson Button: “I’m very happy with ninth place'

Jenson Button believes he did a good job in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix after he qualified ninth for the Grand Prix on Sunday. The McLaren-Honda driver managed to reach Q3 of qualifying after continuing his strong momentum into the session after finishing inside the top ten earlier in the day in final practice. Unlike team-mate Fernando Alonso, who did not set a time in the session due to a car issue, Button was very pleased with his position as he believes Spa-Francorchamps is a tough circuit for the car, and the Briton is hopeful that their pace on Sunday will be stronger than their qualifying pace, and is aiming to compete with those who qualified around him. “I’m very...
