Romain Grosjean: “The damage had already been done”

Romain Grosjean finished thirteenth at the Belgian Grand Prix, but felt he lost too much time in the first part of the race to be able to secure a good result. The Haas F1 Team driver ran inside the top ten in the early laps after avoiding the chaos at turn one, but was unable to keep other drivers behind him as he suffered with a lack of top speed on his VF16, an issue the team managed to solve but not before the Frenchman was well out of contention for a top ten finish.
