Kevin Magnussen: 'The car was a bit of a handful'

Kevin Magnussen had a disappointing opening day of practice for the Italian Grand Prix after struggling with the handling of the car. The Renault Sport driver finished Free Practice 1 in twenty-second behind team-mate Jolyon Palmer. Magnussen struggled with the Renault RS16, but The team was able to improve the ride leading to more consistent lap times around the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. During the second practice, Magnussen improved to finish the session in nineteenth ahead of the Scuderia Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat.
