Hamilton ‘doesn't understand' his pace deficit

Formula 1 world championship leader Lewis Hamilton says he 'can't understand' the issues with his Mercedes Formula One car after qualifying in third place for the Singapore Grand Prix.  The British driver ended his qualifying 0.7s adrift of his team-mate's pole position lap, and the British driver believes there could be a number of factors that stopped him from being higher up the order. The British driver failed to complete a qualifying simulation on the ultra-soft tyres during free practice, after Hamilton made mistakes on all his attempts during both Practice 2 and 3.
