Canada chiefs confident over 2017 F1 race

– Organisers of the Canadian Grand Prix say they remain "confident" that an agreement will be reached between local officials and Formula 1 management in order for next year's event to go ahead.The Canadian Grand Prix has been absent only three times since 1967 but its race was listed as 'subject to confirmation' on the provisional 2017 Formula 1 calendar.Francois Dumontier, President of the Octane Racing Group, which promotes the Canadian Grand Prix, is optimistic that negotiations will come to a successful end."Every year, we hope to have the privilege to secure the dates that kick off the summer festivities in Montréal and this year is no exception," he...
