Hamilton fastest ahead of Verstappen in final practice

Malaysian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton dominated final practice in Sepang, going fastest with a 1:34.434 to go four tenths quicker than Max Verstappen. The Briton was eight tenths of a second clear of his team mate Nico Rosberg after the medium tyre runs early in the session. Rosberg was sitting in second, six tenths off Hamilton, during the soft tyre runs before Verstappen put his Red Bull in between them. The Dutchman started the session with a steering rack issue, with his car pulling to the side on the straights. He had to spend a few minutes in the garage early on as the mechanics fixed the issue.
