Red Bull drivers were free to race in Malaysia

Malaysian Grand Prix – Max Verstappen said after the race in Sepang that he and his Red Bull team mate Daniel Ricciardo were free to race. “The team said we were free to race – but of course in a clean way,” he said in the post-race press conference. Verstappen pitted on lap 9 under the virtual safety car for the soft tyre, whereas Ricciardo pitted much later for the hard tyres, looking to one-stop. The Dutchman quickly caught his team mate after his second stop, with the pair racing into Turn 4 before going through the high speed sweeping Turns 5 and 6 absolutely wheel to wheel. The duo finally unlocked horns on the way into Turn 7 where Ricciardo just edged ahead on the outside...
