Stroll: Lance will be in F1 next year

Lawrence Stroll, billionaire father of Lance Stroll, has confirmed that his son will line-up on the Formula 1 grid next year after dominating the highly regarded FIA European Formula 3 Championship. Stroll senior told Journal de Montréal, 'Lance will be in F1 next year. You can write it in black and white.' Young Stroll, who will be 18 on 29 October, wrapped up the European Formula 3 title in fine style, winning the final five races of the series. The Canadian dominated the series for young guns, winning 14 of the 30 rounds this season, while his closest rival only managed four wins.
