Vettel says contract talks not important
– Sebastian Vettel says discussions over his future with Ferrari beyond the end of 2017 are not important at the moment, with the focus remaining on bringing the team back to the top in Formula 1.Vettel joined Ferrari prior to the 2015 campaign but the partnership has endured a difficult second season, with a title fight not realised, allied to driver errors, reliability issues and strategic mistakes.Maurizio Arrivabene fuelled speculation over Vettel's future when he commented in Japan that the German, as with the rest of the team, would have to "earn his place" for 2018.When asked whether contract negotiations are set to begin soon, Vettel replied: "I think we are...
