Ricciardo expected 'good fight' with Rosberg
– Daniel Ricciardo was left to rue what might have been after a Virtual Safety Car scuppered his chances during the United States Grand Prix.Ricciardo, who started third, got the jump on Nico Rosberg at the exit of the first corner to split the Mercedes drivers in the early stages.After making his second stop, on a Super Soft/Soft/Medium strategy, Ricciardo dropped to third, but harboured hopes of catching Rosberg.But Rosberg, who used Mediums after his opening stint on Softs, was effectively given a free stop when Max Verstappen signalled the VSC.Verstappen lost drive exiting the hairpin shortly after the halfway mark after a gearbox failure, and marshals were unable to push his car...
