Magnussen penalised over Kvyat pass

– Kevin Magnussen has been given a five-second time penalty for passing Daniil Kvyat off track during the United States Grand Prix, meaning the drivers swap places.Magnussen passed Kvyat for 11th position at Turn 12 in the closing stages of the race, but left the track in doing so, prompting the stewards to issue the time penalty.Magnussen finished 4.3s ahead of Kvyat, so he drops to 12th.Magnussen, who is fighting to keep his place at Renault for the 2017 season, also received two penalty points for the incident, giving him four for the 12-month period.
