Rosberg salvages P2 after tricky opening lap
United States Grand Prix – Mercedes' Nico Rosberg finished second to teammate Lewis Hamilton on Sunday, having fallen behind the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo on the first lap. Rosberg lined up P2 for the race start, and maintained that position on the run up to Turn 1. Lining up a different approach to the corner in an attempt to get past Lewis Hamilton, Rosberg instead became vulnerable to attack from the following Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo, who was able to get past the Merc as the pair accelerated out of the corner.
