Verstappen hoping supersoft start will give him the edge

Selecting a different strategy compared to their rivals, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen will start the Mexican Grand Prix on supersoft tyres after he qualified P3 during Saturday’s qualifying session. The youngster put in a valiant effort during the qualifiers, as he ended Q2 on top of the times. However, as Q3 got underway, Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg pipped him and qualified P1 and P2 respectively, leaving Verstappen to settle for P3 on the starting grid, something he is not too worried about. The teenager reckons that if they can get a good start then it will change the dynamic of the race and put his Austrian-based outfit in the mix in the battle for victory....
