Losing 2016 F1 title will hurt less than 2007 – Hamilton Defending world champion Lewis Hamilton won the Mexican GP this weekend, but his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg remain in the lead race for the F1 drivers' championship after his second-place finish resulted him hold a 19-point lead with only two grand prix left. The triple-time world champion accepts he is more likely to lose the F1 title than win it, even if he is giving it his best shot, but failure will hurt less than in 2007 when he missed out by a single point.
