Sauber confirm Nasr has lost his sponsorship
Felipe Nasr's Formula 1 future is under threat after Sauber confirmed that he has lost his sponsorship from Banco do Brasil. While Sauber have announced that Marcus Ericsson will stay on in 2017, the identity of his team-mate remains a mystery. Nasr had hoped for a third successive season with the team, however, his chances have been dealt a blow with news that Banco do Brasil have ended their sponsorship of the driver. Asked about the reports, team boss Monisha Kalternborn confirmed that it is true and made it clear that Sauber's second seat is still up for grabs.
