Verstappen pleased with recovery from first corner spin

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Max Verstappen managed to claw his way up to fourth place after spinning at the first corner of the race. The Dutchman made contact with Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg on the exit of Turn 1 which pitched his Red Bull round, dropping him to last place. After carving his way through the midfield pack, he switched to a one-stop strategy which put him back in contention with the leaders. “I am very pleased with my result and how that race went,” Verstappen said.  “After being last after Turn 1, having to fight my way back and doing it all on a one-stop was the best we could do and I am happy we pulled it off.” After the leaders second round of stops,...
