Vandoorne values Super Formula stint

– Stoffel Vandoorne says that competing in the Japan-based Super Formula helped him develop as a driver, ahead of his Formula 1 graduation with McLaren-Honda in 2017.Vandoorne stormed to the GP2 crown in 2015 but missed out on a Formula 1 drive for the 2016 campaign, as McLaren opted to retain Jenson Button alongside Fernando Alonso.However, with Button retiring, he will make his full debut next season, having stepped in for the injured Alonso at this year's Bahrain Grand Prix, scoring a point in the process.Vandoorne, 24, reckons his recent spell in Super Formula, with the Honda-powered Dandelion team, will help him in the long-term, after experiencing a new culture and...
