Rosberg had 'base respect' with Hamilton
– World Champion Nico Rosberg says that a "base respect" with Lewis Hamilton prevented a catastrophic fallout as they went head-to-head for the title for three seasons.Rosberg and Hamilton were initially team-mates in their karting days, and joined forces again at Mercedes in 2013, prior to Mercedes' domination of the sport from 2014-16.Hamilton claimed back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015, though Rosberg came out in top in 2016, before announcing his shock retirement from the sport just days later.In an interview with BBC Sport, asked about how much their relationship was tested as they battled for overall honours, Rosberg commented: "For sure, it was very...
