Suspension row ahead of 2017 season
– Leading Formula 1 teams may be forced to alter their suspension systems ahead of the 2017 season, after Ferrari sought clarification over the technology implemented by Mercedes, as per reports.F1 banned the FRIC (Front and Rear Inter-Connected) suspension system back in 2014, but leading teams, notably Mercedes, have come up with a workaround to improve the handling of their cars.Ferrari's chief designer, Simone Resta, recently wrote a letter to FIA's Race Director' Charlie Whiting, explaining that the Italian manufacturer was considering its own novel design, and wanted clarification.Resta proposed a system that could replicate FRIC without a physical connection between the front...
