Ecclestone admits concern over Silverstone
– Bernie Ecclestone says he is "worried" that Silverstone could drop off the Formula 1 calendar in the future, but reveals that there are "two other opportunities" for a British Grand Prix venue should such a situation arise.A letter leaked on Thursday, written in the build-up to Christmas by John Grant, Chairman of the British Racing Drivers' Club, which owns the circuit, suggests Silverstone could drop the race after 2019.Grant confirmed that the BRDC board is considering whether to exercise a break clause in its current contract, which runs until 2026, to drop the race after 2019, which must be triggered prior to the 2017 event.Responding to the situation,...
