Toro Rosso's 2017 F1 car passes mandatory crash tests

Toro Rosso has become the latest team to announce that its 2017 Formula 1 car has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests. The Italian outfit is the second on the F1 grid to confirm its 2017 car has passed the FIA crash tests, after Force India. Carlos Sainz Jr. and Daniil Kvyat remain at Toro Rosso for the new season, which features major regulation changes. There have been considerable modifications to the aero rules for 2017, as well as wider Pirelli tyres being introduced. Toro Rosso has yet to reveal when its new car, the STR12, will be officially launched. Pre-season testing begins at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain from the 27 February to the 2 March.
