Dallara: It will be almost impossible to overtake
Gian Paolo Dallara, whose company has an illustrious history in motorsports, producing everything from Formula 3 cars, to Formula 1 and Indycars, is mystified by the new Formula 1 rules which he believes will make overtaking scarce in 2017. Speaking to F1 insider Leo Turrini, Dallara said, 'As an engineer I do not understand why [in F1] they have decided to focus on higher downforce.' 'Technically it will be almost impossible to overtake because no one will be able to follow the car in front of him. We complain about the lack of a show in Formula 1, then they go in the opposite direction.' Dallara is another voice added to the chorus of F1 experts and pundits who are warning fans that...
