F1 looking at internet 'over the top' broadcasting

©WRI2 Formula 1 is ready for delivering content to viewers directly over the internet following a test conducted in 2016. With cable cutting - the act of cancelling multichannel subscription services in favor of online viewing - becoming widespread, especially in the US, Formula 1 is considering an OTT ('Over the Top') broadcasting scheme which would enable viewing races over the internet. A full-scale test was conducted with Tata Communications at last year's Singapore Grand Prix validated the technology conclusively.
