Hellmund: Brazil result led to Manor demise
– US-based Tavo Hellmund says that Manor falling out of the top 10 in the championship standings late last season ended his and his investors' hopes of acquiring the team.Manor occupied the financially-beneficial 10th place across the bulk of last year, but slipped behind Sauber at the penultimate round in Brazil, and ultimately finished at the foot of the 11-team standings.Manor owner Stephen Fitzpatrick confirmed in Abu Dhabi that the team had agreed terms with an investor, believed to be Hellmund, who was behind the revival of Grands Prix in the US and Mexico.However, the deal eventually fell through, while another potential sale to Asian investors did not reach a successful...
