Honda’s Hasegawa: “It was disappointing to encounter further problems today”
Honda’s Head of F1 Project & Executive Chief Engineer Yusuke Hasegawa, was disappointed that the McLaren Honda Formula 1 Team once again experienced problems with the PU, which saw driver Stoffel Vandoorne side-lined for a large portion of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona, on Tuesday. It was a similar story on Monday too, as Fernando Alonso spent most of his day in the garage, following an oil system leak on the Honda engine. On both occasions, Honda chose to replace the faulty engine, to allow the driver’s time to continue with their schedule and collect at least some usable data for McLaren.
