Gelael to get Toro Rosso 2017 in-season test opportunities

Sean Gelael will get the opportunity to test with the Scuderia Toro Rosso team during the two in-season tests in Bahrain and Hungary and the end of season test in Abu Dhabi in 2017. The twenty-year-old will combine his commitments in duties with Toro Rosso with his drive in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Arden International, having switched across to the Banbury-based team having raced in 2016 with Campos Racing. Gelael finished on the podium in the mixed conditions at the Red Bull Ring behind team-mate Mitch Evans last season, but it was the only relative high of his campaign as he only achieved one other points finish, with a seventh place coming at Baku.
