Red Bull retains faith in concept of 2017 F1 car

Red Bull insists it has not got the concept of its 2017 Formula 1 car wrong – despite lagging behind main rivals Ferrari and Mercedes. The Milton Keynes-based team opted against a complicated design for its RB13, and instead went for a more simplistic low-drag solution that makes it quick in a straight line. However, its early season form has not been as strong as the high downforce Mercedes and Ferrari – and in China on Sunday it finished 45-seconds adrift of race-winner Lewis Hamilton.
