Hulkenberg urges caution on race-pace threat to Red Bull

Nico Hulkenberg doubts that Renault yet has the car capable of challenging Red Bull in the race, despite ending qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix just two tenths behind Max Verstappen. Renault has emerged as one of the surprises of the opening stage of the campaign, with the French car manufacturer having made a big step forward since last year. In Bahrain it has managed to get both its cars through to Q3 for the first time since coming back as a works team, and Hulkenberg has especially shown good pace – qualifying seventh for the second race running.
