Vandoorne to get 15-place grid penalty
cLaren driver Stoffel Vandoorne will take a 15-place grid penalty at the Russian Grand Prix, after a precarious engine situation got even worse in FP1.Vandoorne reported "no power" in the closing stages of Friday's first session at Sochi Autodrom, after which engine partner Honda outlined a suspected MGU-K issue.In the interest of time, mechanics are completing a full power unit change, with the hope of sending Vandoorne back out on track during the second practice session.Vandoorne, having already moved on to his fourth MGU-H and TC elements, will now take on fifth elements, meaning he will collect 10- and five-place grid penalties.Vandoorne's Energy Store and Control Electronics...
