Renault: Reliability delaying introduction of next engine upgrade

Renault is now looking at getting its next engine upgrade ready before Formula 1's summer break, as it works to ensure there is no reliability risk as a consequence of changes. The French car manufacturer had originally talked about the next development step coming around the time of the Canadian Grand Prix, as it bids to ramp up performance from its new 2017 concept. However, with it still having some concerns about the durability of its engines during dyno tests, Renault says it is now working on introducing the step before the end of July - and only if it is happy that it will last.
