Ferrari use filming day at Mugello for practice starts

Ferrari conducted ‘film day' at Mugello last week as they prepare to take the fight to Mercedes at the forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix. Speedweek report that the outing was more akin to a test than a promotional filming day with both Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen in attendance. Formula 1 rules allow teams to conduct two film days per season, in which cars cannot cover more than 100 km and must use hard tyres with little resemblance to the rubber on offer currently from Pirelli. Typically it is a time when teams shoot footage and take photos of their cars and drivers for promotional purposes.
