Alonso jets off to Indy for Monday practice

Fernando Alonso will not have much time to reflect on the Spanish Grand Prix as he takes a private jet to Indianapolis for an early practice session on Monday. The Spaniard produced a stunning display on Saturday by qualifying P7 for his home race, but finished out of the points in P12 with a first lap squabble with Felipe Massa impacting his race. However, Alonso is hoping his qualfiying performance can be the start of something new for McLaren-Honda. 'Yesterday was a big plus,' said Alonso in the paddock.
